King Soba Buckwheat Noodles, Buckwheat and Sweet Potato Noodles.
The Allergy Brothers have been pestering to try spaghetti for ages because it is Peppa Pig’s favourite food so I was very pleased to spot these noodles. Luckily, the Allergy Brothers are not culinary term purists and were happy to accept these as spaghetti. Unfortunately, when it came to eating them, Big rejected them because they “smell and are new.” Luckily, Little is more gung ho about trying new things to eat. And he soon tucked in.
The noodles come in portion size wraps (see photo) and you get three wraps per packet. The portions are quite generous so next time I would probably do two wraps for the 2 boys and 1-2 adults. The noodles do have a buckwheaty, grassy taste, but, with a flavoursome sauce, this wouldn’t be excessive. The buckwheat and sweet potato noodles are less grassy flavoured, but also cost more.
In summary, I will definitely be adding these into Little’s lunchtime menu on his non-nursery days. Big however was not for turning and never tried the noodles.
