Caveman Cookies – New World flavour

caveman_single_stack_2014_newworld_web_largeIngredients- maple syrup, honey, almond meal, pecan meal, dried cranberries (cranberries, apple juice concentrate, sunflower oil), pumpkin seeds, spices.

These are individually wrapped so they make an ideal lunch box food. The only thing is that the cookies are very soft so you are not going to be able to keep them in the bottom of a bag for an emergency as you will just have crumbs. The cookies are small, but they pack quite a sugar hit so are enough to perk you up. They taste delicious as well.

Raw Organic Food Bar (Chocolatey Chocolate Chip flavour)

INGREDIENTS: cashews, agave syrup, dark chocolate chips, brown rice protein, BioSprouts.

Little wouldn’t even try this; he said that it smelt too much. I didn’t notice anything so I went ahead and tried it. I was quite impressed as it tasted like healthy, chocolatey fudge. I wasn’t impressed by the presence of a trade marked ingredient, BioSprouts, because I wasn’t really sure what this was and that makes an Allergy Parent nervous.

Raw Health Organic Hemp Protein Balls

Raw Health Organic Hemp Protein Balls. INGREDIENTS: Dates, almonds, hemp protein powder, guarana powder. The presence of guarana means that these are definitely not suitable for the Allergy Brothers. In fact, the pack specifies that they are not suitable for children under 12 years. Luckily, I am truly past that age and I am very tired (thanks to the Allergy Brothers’ multiple nocturnal wakings) so I am an ideal candidate for these. This seems a bit silly to say, but I really liked how cute the balls were: perfectly spherical and in a little paper case. They tasted good too and the flavour reminded me of Christmas. One ball was enough to give me an energy boost to get me through collecting the Allergy Brothers from school.

Elements for Life Raw Chocolate Cake

original_yummy-scrummy-raw-chocolate-brownie-10-barsINGREDIENTS: Ecuadorian Arriba raw cacao butter and powder, dates, walnuts, natural fruit extracts (apples, grapes, carob), raisins, Brazil nuts, goji berries, raw cacao nibs, Madagascan boubon vanilla, Himalayan salt.

There were some differing opinions on this. Little loved his first piece and came back for more. Big hated it and spat it out. Then Little decided he didn’t like it either because he has to do everything his brother does! I thought it was much better than I was expecting; it was rich, but sweet, and yet intensely chocolatey.
